From our base near Tattenhall in Cheshire on the Shropshire Union canal, you will be able to cruise to the historical city of Chester with attractions such as Europe's biggest zoo (www.chesterzoo.org), horse racecourse, the historic "rows" and Cathedral. Travel further north to the National Waterways Museum based in Ellesmere Port (www.nwm.org.uk) where you will discover the history of the canals and life of the original 'canal boat families'. Travel south through Cheshire, Shropshire and even North Wales via the Llangollen canal or take the Middlewich branch to the famous Anderton Boat Lift (www.andertonboatlift.co.uk).
