Do I need any previous experience?
If you have never been on a narrow boat before don't worry, "Jacaranda" is easy to handle. When you pick up the boat we will show you how the boat works,
including daily checks, safety on board and how to handle the boat. This is your opportunity to find out as much about the boat as you feel you need and you
will be asked to sign a handover sheet to confirm you are happy. We will then accompany you along the canal until you feel confident, and arrange to meet
you at the first lock to go through lock operation and safety. There is also a Boat Manual on board for you to refer to.

What do I need to bring?
No need to bring bedding, towels, tea towels, washing-up liquid, hand soap or toilet paper as these are all provided. You will need to bring a variety of clothing
including both warm and wet gear as British weather can be unpredictable! Also comfortable footwear, a torch would be handy, toiletries, food and drink.
Don't forget your suncream, sunglasses and sun hat for those sunny days.

When will the boat be ready?
You should be able to board Jacaranda from 3pm on theSaturday afternoon. The boat should be returned by 10am as arranged. Remember if you return the
boat late it will cause a delay for the next hirer. In this event we reserve the right to charge for a late return or if it is returned in a dirty condition.

What happens if we have a problem?
We are only 'phone call away. However our boat is well maintained and breakdowns are very rare.

Can we view the boat before booking?
Yes you can, we are more than happy to arrange this. Please contact us to arrange a mutually convenient time.

Where is the boat moored?
The boat is moored at a brand new marina outside Chester on the Shropshire Union Canal in the picturesque Cheshire Plain. The Marina has showers and
secure parking with CCTV coverage. There is a code operated barrier to gain entry www.tattenhall-marina.co.uk. Parking is at the OW
